Common questions
- Getting started. Create a Trek, then share its invite code with your friends — they join in one tap. You can add a location, trip dates, meetups, an itinerary, expenses, chat, and photos from inside the Trek.
- Location sharing. Sharing is opt-in per Trek. Turn it on or off anytime in Trek Settings → Share my location. Trekr only reads your location while you're using the app. To stop it entirely, revoke the permission in iOS Settings → Trekr → Location.
- Notifications. Trekr notifies you about new meetups, messages, itinerary items, and expenses in your Treks. You can silence a single Trek with Trek Settings → Mute notifications, or turn them off entirely in iOS Settings → Trekr → Notifications.
- Splitting expenses. Add an expense, choose who it's split between, and Trekr tracks the balances and shows the fewest payments needed to settle up. Trekr doesn't move money — you settle with each other directly.
- Reporting content or blocking someone. Press and hold a message or comment to report it — we review reports within 24 hours. To block a member, open the Trek's members list, tap the person, and choose Block. You can manage blocked users in Profile → Blocked users.
- Deleting your account. Go to Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and the content you've posted. There's no undo. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Report a safety issue
- If you encounter harassment, abuse, or anything that makes you feel unsafe, use the in-app report option above and email us at hello@trekrapp.com. We take safety seriously and will act quickly.
